Outplacement Services: Equitable Support When It Matters Most

Supporting Your People Through Transition

At Coach 1st, we believe outplacement should be equitable, not hierarchical.

Every employee facing redundancy deserves the same level of care, dignity, and professional support, regardless of job title, salary, or seniority.

Our commitment to equitable and inclusive outplacement, combined with our extensive experience in global coaching and recruitment, is what truly sets us apart.

The Challenge with Traditional Outplacement

Redundancy is difficult for everyone involved. Yet traditional outplacement models often create an uncomfortable reality: senior leaders receive months of personalised coaching, while other employees may only be offered a group workshop or a generic CV template.

Support is allocated by grade rather than need. We call this the Outplacement Lottery, and it rarely reflects the values of organisations that genuinely care about their people, culture, and reputation.

For HR leaders and senior teams committed to treating people with dignity, this inconsistency can feel at odds with organisational values, particularly when those values champion equality, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.

Our Approach: One Standard for Everyone

Coach 1st provides one high-quality outplacement standard for every individual affected by redundancy. There are no tiers, no hierarchy, and no compromise.

Every employee receives the same comprehensive, professional support designed to help them move forward with confidence and clarity.

What Every Employee Receives

One to One Career Coaching Tailored support based on individual circumstances, strengths, and career goals. As many sessions as needed throughout the transition.

CV, Application and LinkedIn Optimisation Professional development of all career materials, aligned to current market expectations and individual target roles.

Interview Preparation Mock interviews with detailed, constructive feedback. Confidence building and technique development for different interview formats.

Job Search Strategy Practical planning with market insight, networking guidance, and sector-specific advice to access both advertised and hidden opportunities.

Ongoing Support Until Success We continue working with individuals until they secure their next role, with no arbitrary time limits, provided they remain actively engaged in their job search.

Why Choose Equitable Outplacement?

Protects Your Employer Brand How you treat people during difficult transitions speaks volumes. Equitable support demonstrates genuine commitment to employee wellbeing and strengthens your reputation as a responsible employer.

Reduces Risk Consistent, equitable support helps maintain trust with both exiting and remaining employees, while reducing potential vulnerabilities around discrimination claims.

Delivers Better Outcomes When everyone receives quality support with appropriate time to transition, placement rates improve across all levels. People achieve successful outcomes when given the resources they need.

Simplifies Decision Making One approach, one standard, one transparent price point. No uncomfortable conversations about who deserves what level of support.

Reflects Your Organisational Values If your organisation champions equity, diversity, and inclusion during good times, your redundancy process should reflect those same principles when they matter most.

Transparent Pricing

£300 per person

Every individual receives the same comprehensive support package for as long as they need it. There are no hidden tiers, no premium add-ons, and no time-based cut-offs.

Coach 1st offers an Executive Coaching Programme add on at an additional cost of £200 per person

Our Commitment to Your People

We do not impose rigid three or six-month limits. If an individual is actively working towards securing their next role, we continue to support them, whether that takes two months or twelve months.

We measure our success by outcomes, not timelines. We stay with each person until they achieve a successful transition.

This approach recognises that job markets fluctuate, personal circumstances vary, and finding the right role takes different people different amounts of time. Your people deserve that commitment.

Ready to Explore an Equitable Approach?

If you are facing a restructure or redundancy programme and want to support your people with dignity, professionalism, and genuine care, we would welcome a conversation.

I highly recommend Stuart Blake as a career coach whose expertise and guidance were instrumental in navigating a career transition with confidence.
What sets him apart is his ability to combine his over 30 years of experience with deep insights about how to approach job searches in the current climate.
His suggestions about identifying common grounds, establishing a connection, leveraging different networking techniques and working the hidden job market really helped identify opportunities in a contracting market.
In his sessions, Stuart helped me articulate my value proposition and led to successful interviews and conversations.
Beyond the tactical support, Stuart provided much needed encouragement and a good sounding board, I needed during challenging moments.

Working with Stuart has been transformative for both my career and personal life. When I first reached out, I was feeling stuck and uncertain about my path forward. What I needed most was clarity and a confident approach to tackle the challenges I was facing, along with structured support.
From our very first session, it was clear that Stuart truly understands how to help people find their way forward. He offered different approaches tailored specifically to my situation, which made all the difference. His flexible style meant we could adapt our sessions based on what I needed most at any given time.
What struck me most was his healing way of dealing with deep-rooted issues. Rather than just surface-level career advice, he helped me work through underlying blocks that were holding me back professionally and personally. This holistic approach felt genuinely supportive and nurturing.
I genuinely looked forward to and enjoyed our time together.
Stuart is incredibly engaged throughout every conversation – you can feel his genuine investment in your success. His love for his profession shines through in everything he does, and his extensive experience across so many different areas means he can draw from a rich toolkit to help with whatever challenges arise.
Thanks to our work together, I now have a clear direction and the confidence to pursue it. I can't recommend Stuart highly enough to anyone looking for meaningful support in their career and life journey.
